Five Hour Introductory Paragliding Lesson in Malibu

Gather a group of friends and/or coworkers and experience one of the most breathtaking experience. Join the thousands of happy customers who have flown by themselves or in the company of an instructor.

Our lesson programs are customized to your expectations and learning speed. Start from a beach, field or gentle slope, inflate the paraglider and run a few steps until you feel the aerodynamic forces lifting you gently. Run a few more steps and get airborne for a few seconds.

You can also ask for external help from a friend or instructor and get pushed into the wind or pulled with a rope to get even higher, just like a kite. We have a simple proven system that allows a new student to stay aloft for many minutes on their first day. All this in a serene environment by the ocean.

After a few hours, you will surely want more and fly from a bigger hill. Well, we have many sites in Malibu, Calabasas and Ojai to satisfy this need. Those sites have been selected and developed to offer maximum safety as well as great aerology, meaning that on a coastal site, you will experience lift mostly from air currents deflected upward generating enough lift to keep you aloft for hours! Mountain sites, ranging between 1500 an 5000 feet above sea level offer mostly thermal conditions allowing a pilot to go as high as 15000 feet on a good day.

Tour Highlights:

Most flights end on a sandy beach or open fields. Note that temperatures at altitude may be quite cold even though the surface temperature is warm.

Tips for Enjoying Your Tour

• Running shoes OK but hiking boots are preferable
  
• Sturdy pant, shorts are OK on some sites
  
• Wind breaker
  
• Gloves between November and April.
  
• You may bring a compact camera if you wish
  
• We also have room for a limited amount of luggage (a small day pack)
  
• Snacks are ok if we're expecting a long flight
  
• A helmet is provided by the school
• There is no age limitation but minors need to be accompanied by a parent

Confirmation & Travel Voucher

For every confirmed booking you will receive an e-mail with a link to your E-Ticket Vouchers - when your booking is confirmed. Print both vouchers on your home/ office printer. Please present these E-Ticket vouchers at the Tour Office.

Cancellation and Refund Information:

Confirmed online reservations canceled by the customer at least 48 hours prior to the trip date will be charged a $10.00 per person cancellation fee. Confirmed reservations cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the trip date will be charged in full.

This tour must be booked at least 24 hours in advance of your travel date. Your confirmation for this product will be received within 12-24 hours subject to availability.

If Uptimal cancels a trip for any reason, bad weather or inadequate load requirements, a 100% refund will be issued. Uptimal reserves the right to cancel any trip.

Uptimal assumes no responsibility for delays caused by accidents, breakdown, bad conditions of the road, incliment weather and other conditions beyond control.
